An AI habit tracker that plans around your energy
Most habit trackers are a checklist that judges you. Daily Wins asks how today actually looks, then shrinks or grows the plan so you can finish it, and counts every step toward one Win Meter.
Why a plain checklist stops working
A classic habit tracker gives you a grid. Every day you either fill the box or you don't. That works beautifully for a few weeks, while life cooperates. Then you get a cold, a deadline or a bad night, the grid fills with gaps, and the app turns into a record of everything you didn't do. Most people quietly delete it and "start fresh" next Monday.
The problem usually isn't the habits. It's that the plan was written for your best day and then applied to every day. An AI habit tracker app is useful only if it fixes that: if it notices what kind of day you're having and changes the size of the plan before you fail it, not after.
That's the idea behind Daily Wins. It isn't trying to be a smarter grid. It's an AI day coach that sits on top of your habits.
How Daily Wins works, step by step
- A 30-second morning check-in. You tell it three things: how much energy you have, the one main win that would make today count, and what's in your way. That's the whole input. (We go deeper on the questions in our morning check-in guide.)
- A plan you can actually finish. Daily Wins combines your answers with your goal and your habits into a short plan for today. With Premium, the AI-built Win Plan adapts to your energy and breaks your main win into concrete steps. On a low-energy day the plan gets lighter, so your streak stays realistic.
- One Today screen. Your main win, your habits and a 2-minute insight picked for your goal, all on one screen. No tabs to manage.
- One Win Meter. Every habit, every step of your main win and your daily insight fill the same meter. Fill it to win the day, with confetti, sound and haptics. Do just one thing and your streak stays alive.
- A streak flame that grows. It climbs from Spark to Flame to Blaze to Inferno as your streak grows, and a free weekly Streak Freeze covers the days that don't go to plan. More on that in how the streaks work.
What "AI" means here (and what it doesn't)
It's worth being specific, because "AI" gets stuck on everything.
| Daily Wins does | Daily Wins doesn't | |
|---|---|---|
| Planning | Turns your check-in, goal and habits into a short plan for today | Schedule every hour of your calendar |
| Main win | With Premium, breaks your one main win into steps | Manage a 200-item project backlog |
| Energy | Makes the plan lighter on low-energy days | Explain why your energy is low |
| Coaching | Premium includes an AI coach and a weekly review | Replace a therapist, doctor or human coach |
| Tracking | Habits with weekly targets, reminders, a streak calendar | Track food, sleep stages or body stats |
The goal is narrow on purpose: help you decide what a winnable day looks like, then help you finish it.
Who it's for
Daily Wins tends to suit people who:
- keep restarting habit apps after one bad week;
- have plenty of goals but struggle to pick one thing that matters today (the logic is in our guide to choosing your most important task);
- have uneven energy, so a fixed daily plan breaks quickly (see our low-energy day plan);
- like seeing progress at a glance, including on the Lock Screen.
It's probably not the right tool if you want a detailed project manager, a calendar replacement, or a spreadsheet of 30 habits. The free tier allows up to 3 habits for a reason: a short list you finish beats a long list you avoid.
Free vs Premium, plainly
Free: up to 3 habits, the morning check-in, your main win, the daily insight, your streak and flame, and the widgets.
Premium adds the AI-built Win Plan that adapts to your energy and breaks your main win into steps, unlimited habits, the AI coach, a weekly review, 3 Streak Freezes a week plus Streak Repair, and flame skins. On the US App Store it's $2.99 a week, $12.99 a month or $29.99 a year (the yearly plan has a 7-day free trial for new subscribers), or $79.99 for lifetime access. Full details are on our free habit tracker page.
How to set it up in five minutes
- Pick one goal for the next month. Not five.
- Add one to three habits that move that goal, each with a weekly target you'd hit on a bad week (three days a week beats seven days you never reach).
- Tomorrow morning, do the check-in before you open email.
- Write your main win as something you could finish today: "send the draft", not "work on the project".
- Add the widget so you can check off habits without opening the app (see the widget guide).
Give it two weeks before you judge it. The first few check-ins feel slow; by the second week most people answer them without thinking.
A note on data
Your check-in answers are used to build your plan, and AI features send what you enter to an AI service provider to generate a response. The details, including what the App Store privacy label lists, are in our Privacy Policy.
Questions
What does the AI do in Daily Wins?
It takes your morning check-in (energy, main win and what's in your way), your goal and your habits, and turns them into a short plan for today. With Premium, the AI-built Win Plan adapts to your energy and breaks your main win into steps, and you can talk things through with the AI coach.
Is there a free AI habit tracker?
Daily Wins is free to download. The free tier includes the morning check-in, your main win, up to 3 habits, the daily insight, your streak flame and widgets. The AI-built Win Plan and the AI coach are part of Premium.
Do I have to talk to a chatbot every day?
No. The daily routine is the 30-second check-in and one Today screen. The AI coach is there when you want it, not a required step.
Can an AI habit tracker replace willpower?
No app can. What a good plan can do is make the next step smaller and clearer, so it takes less willpower to start. That is the job Daily Wins is designed for.
