A free habit tracker for iPhone, and exactly what's included
Plenty of habit apps say free and mean a 3-day trial. Daily Wins is free to download and use: up to 3 habits, the morning check-in, your main win, a daily insight, your streak flame and widgets. Premium is optional.
The free tier, in full
Here's everything you get without paying, taken from the current App Store listing:
- Up to 3 habits, each with a weekly target from one to seven days and reminders
- The 30-second morning check-in: your energy, your main win and what's in your way (how it works)
- Your main win on the Today screen
- A 2-minute daily insight picked for your goal
- Your streak and flame, from Spark to Inferno, with a free weekly Streak Freeze
- Widgets: check off habits from the Home Screen; streak, quote and Win Meter on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (setup guide)
No trial clock is running on any of that.

Prices (US App Store, October 2026)
| Option | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Weekly | $2.99 | Auto-renews weekly |
| Monthly | $12.99 | Auto-renews monthly |
| Yearly | $29.99 | 7-day free trial for new subscribers, then auto-renews yearly |
| Lifetime | $79.99 | One-time purchase, no renewal |
Prices vary by country, and the App Store always shows your local price before you confirm. Subscriptions are charged to your Apple Account and renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
Choosing between them: if you're not sure, stay on free for two weeks first. If you then want Premium, the yearly plan's trial lets you test the AI Win Plan before paying. If you dislike subscriptions on principle, the lifetime option exists for that reason.
Why 3 free habits is enough to start
Three is a deliberate number. When people start a habit app, they tend to add everything they've ever meant to do: water, steps, reading, meditation, journaling, flossing, language practice. By day ten the list is a wall of unchecked boxes.
Starting with one to three habits, each with a target you'd hit in a bad week, is the advice you'll find in most serious writing on behavior change. It's also why habit stacking works so well: a small number of habits anchored to things you already do.
How to get the most out of the free tier
- Choose one goal and two habits that support it.
- Keep each habit small enough that you'd still do it in a rough week.
- Add the Home Screen widget on page one.
- Do the morning check-in before you open messages, every day for two weeks.
- Watch the streak flame grow, and use the weekly Streak Freeze when you need it.
After two weeks you'll know whether you want the AI to do more of the planning. If you don't, free keeps working.
Free app vs paper or a spreadsheet
Paper and spreadsheets are free too, and some people love them. The difference is friction and visibility. A notebook only works if you open it, and a spreadsheet lives on a computer you may not touch until evening. A free app sits on the phone you already pick up, can remind you, and shows your streak on the Home Screen without any effort.
If you've tried trackers before and drifted away, that friction is usually why. People who find most apps too demanding often do better with a very short list; our page on a habit tracker for ADHD adults covers that low-friction approach in more detail.
Managing or canceling Premium
Open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Daily Wins on your iPhone. Deleting the app doesn't cancel a subscription. Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. More help is on our Support page.
Questions
Is Daily Wins really free?
Yes. The download is free, and the free tier keeps working without a subscription: up to 3 habits, the morning check-in, your main win, the daily insight, your streak and flame, and widgets.
Is there a habit tracker without a subscription?
You can use Daily Wins free without subscribing. If you want Premium without a recurring subscription, there is a one-time lifetime purchase, listed at $79.99 on the US App Store.
What does Premium cost?
On the US App Store: $2.99 a week, $12.99 a month or $29.99 a year, with a 7-day free trial on the yearly plan for new subscribers, or $79.99 lifetime. Prices vary by country.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, choose Daily Wins and tap Cancel Subscription. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
